This past February marked a reunion with a former student from back in the Southwind Drum Corps days that has certainly made an awesome mark in Country Music, and that would be Jamey Johnson! We collaborated on a soon-to-be-released project mid-summer. At that time, Jamey extended an invitation for the THorns to join him on tour, and for me to author the horn arrangements. We began in August, and it has been nothing short of astounding. His band is incredible, his songwriting is incredible, and we look to start the '17 Giant Meteor Tour at Iron City Birmingham on Jan 5 and 6! Catch this great band whenever you can; it is just an amazing performance each night.
